General information and mandatory disclosures
Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
SILENT AGREEMENT
Enders, Klein, Krenzer & Mathe GbR
Dr.-Heinrich-Rosenhaupt-Str. 2
55122 Mainz, Germany
The controller decides alone or jointly with others on the purposes and means of processing personal data (e.g. names, contact details or similar).
Withdrawing your consent
Some data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You may withdraw consent already given at any time. An informal message by email is sufficient. The lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.
Right to lodge a complaint
In the event of a breach of data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. The competent authority is the data protection commissioner of the federal state in which our company is based. A list of data protection officers and their contact details is available at bfdi.bund.de.
Right to data portability
You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a machine-readable format. If you request direct transfer to another controller, this will only be done where technically feasible.
Right to information, correction, blocking and deletion
Within the framework of applicable law, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin, its recipients and the purpose of processing, and where applicable a right to correction, blocking or deletion of this data. For this and any further questions on the subject of personal data, you can contact us at any time using the contact details given in the imprint.
SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content that you send to us as the site operator, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. Data you transmit via this website therefore cannot be read by third parties. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the “https://” in your browser’s address bar and the lock symbol.
Server log files
The website provider automatically collects and stores information that your browser transmits to us in server log files. These are:
- Page visited on our domain
- Date and time of the server request
- Browser type and version
- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Host name of the accessing computer
- IP address
This data is not merged with other data sources. Processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, which permits processing to safeguard legitimate interests.
Booking form and contact by email
Details submitted through the booking form — name, email address and, optionally, company, date and place of the event and your message — are forwarded to us by email only and stored there in order to process your enquiry. No database is created, and the data is not passed on to third parties without your consent.
For technical reasons your IP address is transmitted when you submit the form. It is used solely to protect the form against automated abuse.
The same applies if you contact us directly by email: your details including your contact data will be stored in order to process your enquiry and to be available for follow-up questions.
Processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You may withdraw consent already given at any time; an informal message by email is sufficient. The lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.
Data submitted will remain with us until you request its deletion, withdraw your consent to storage, or the purpose for storing it no longer applies. Mandatory statutory provisions — in particular retention periods — remain unaffected.
Newsletter
We send our SILENT.NEWS newsletter using Brevo, a service of Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany. Brevo processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
To sign up we need your email address. After submitting, you will receive a message containing a confirmation link (double opt-in); your address is only added to the list once you click it. Submitting the form transmits your IP address for technical reasons; it is used solely to protect against automated abuse. The sign-up form on this website embeds no Brevo scripts and sets no cookies — your address is passed to Brevo server-side only.
Brevo records whether and when newsletters are opened and which links are clicked, in order to evaluate and improve delivery.
The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe at any time — via the link at the end of every message, or informally by email to us. Your address will then be deleted both by us and by Brevo. The lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal remains unaffected.
